BUILD Company Showcase Competition

Michael Beardsley, CEO, was a judge for the BUILD company showcase competition held at Mills College in Oakland. Students from all seven Oakland high schools presented their companies to a panel of judges who selected the winner to proceed to the final 2013 business plan competition. Michael Beardsley has been a ‘VC Mentor’ to BUILD student teams in Oakland, CA for three years and judge for the BUILD company showcase for two years. BUILD is an innovative, highly successful college preparation program whose mission is to use entrepreneurship to excite and propel disengaged, low-income students through high school to college success.
